Color: amber.
Nose: freshly cut boards, allspice, clay, cherries, tobacco, apricots, chocolate, lacquered furniture, a hint of turpentine, bread, apples, oranges, lemons, mint, ginger, a touch of sulphur. A mixed bag. With water: cocoa, more apples, eraser, rose petals, less sulphur.
Taste: dark chocolate, cherries, cranberry jam, oranges, clove, raisins, spice, licorice, honey, oak. Quite sweet. With water: coffee liqueur, barberries, lemons, mint. Like it more with water!
Finish: dark chocolate, a lot of spice, honey, oak, cocoa, cranberries, wet cardboard. With water: both bread and gingerbread notes.
Score: 8 ¼. Almost good. +1+2=0. (Without water: +1+1=0.)

Conclusion: sweet and spicy malt, lacking dimension, though improving with water. 82/100. My 9th sherried A'bunadh, first since 2019, not sure I need to return to the series, looks like its decline continues. There's abundance of good sherried Scotch these days, take GlenAllachie for example.
