Cask type: Bourbon Hogshead
Cask no: 9005283
Sample

Color: light gold.
Nose: madrone tree bark, bread, wax, pencil shavings, apricots, mint, almonds, raspberries, apples, buckwheat plant, sunflower oil, and hints of tar soap.
Taste: apples, salt, apricots, mustard, oily notes, grapefruits, astringent wood, and a touch of pepper. Quite mellow.
Finish: apples, lemons, wood, salt, pepper, mustard, wax, plums, and herbal notes. Very long.
Score: 9. Between good and excellent. +2+2+2.
Conclusion: an impressive old malt that became quite oaky after thirty years of maturation in a bourbon cask. It works for me, though others might not find this whisky that enjoyable. I like the bread and almonds in the aroma, while mustard stands out prominently in the flavor and aftertaste. 90/100, based on a really tiny sample. Artful Dodger — what an independent bottler name!
